The Great Getaway

We were looking at the various options for Kerala visit and didn't trust the fancy looking websites, offers and packages. We queried our traveller friends and finally came to know about Nomads Hostel. Our dance with the place started from the moment we set foot in Alleppy. We were welcomed with the exhilarating Canoe ride to the hostel and the this was just start of what was going to be an amazing trip. We got exactly what we wanted and some more. The peaceful place can't be closer to nature. The Great host who knows more than locals and an exceptional cook as well, the amazing food which can made me forget whatever diet plan I was on and the amazing service. Thanks Divya and Lal to make this trip memorable.

Another day in paradise

This a perfect place where you can forget about your busy life, pains i ass somewhere there, things to do… take a break, switch off, recharge your energy in a company of beautiful and abundant nature. U should not miss the loud birds symphonies in the morning (ask Divya – she knows all the birds around) , sunrises and sunsets and boats passing by on the backwaters . The best place to watch them is a bridge nearby the hostel. Divya makes you to feel at home. She is very good cook so u actually don’t need to leave the island because everything you need is there – eco-mattress to sleep, tasty food to eat, nice and kind people around, silence to hear your thoughts. And if you need some action go for a boat ride with Lal, take ayrvedic massage, try coconut bear ( I hope next time I will really get it ;). I am sure you will leave that place happier and relaxed. I did.

Good place

Its a good place to enjoy your vacation. A walk through the village nearby, through the paddy fields is wonderful. Quite calm and serene place and good hospitality too.

Traditional kerala homestay.

what you are expecting from a home stay that you will get from Divya's Place. Food, Hospitality, Greenery all around, backwater before your cottage and beautiful nature. I had enjoyed boat transportation which is different from normal life and also no pollution. I recommend to stay at this place for pleasant and relaxing holiday.

I've been to Paradise

I had the most perfect 2 nights in this wonderful place. Divya is definitely the hostess with the mostest. Nothing was too much for her. She arranged lovely food to be cooked by local lady and took me back on the boat for my return journey even carrying my bag. I stayed in a lovely bungalow room with views of the waters. So many beautiful birds, locals and fire flies. Unfortunately I have to leave India in 48 hours but I have a visa for 5 more months. I hope toget back to this paradise and Divya before that expires

My Dreamy Island Stay

When people ask me why I travel, my main reason is the interesting people I meet along the way. I am so lucky to have been one of Divya's first guests at Nomad's Hostel at the very start of my first solo backpacking journey. This hostel is so dreamy I found it hard to detach myself from the terrace that overlooks the backwaters. My eyes were like baby's watching my surroundings with absolute wonder. I stayed for almost two weeks because I feel in love with the little paradise that is Nomad's Hostel. And the cherry on top? Divya, the beautiful superhero that owns this stunning hostel, reflects the peace, beauty, kindness and magic that Nomad's has to offer. Thank you Divya for all the travel advice, for teaching me about birds, for the scrumptious food, the village walks, but most of all, for the friend and sister I found in you. I am eternally grateful for your kindness!

The birds start chirping an hour before you would even think of getting up .You wake up to a beautiful sunrise. With aromatic herbal tea and ginger coffee your day is welcomed. The traditional breakfast makes your tastebuds dance.Feel the serene backwaters with the rare birds. Watch the locals from the verandah as they travel on boats. Listen to the temple prayers and purify yourself. Such is the beauty of the hostel in Alleppey (Venice of the east) . Did I mention about fireflies and stars you can gaze at night? This is life Nomads Hostel. Hope it's on your bucket list now

Spending nye at Nomads!

It was such a pleasure staying at Divya's place. For two days me and my boyfriend stayed in this quiet, clean and comfy place next to backwaters. Just walking through the jungle towards Nomads makes your life at peace and getting there makes you so happy. If I ever want to come back to Alleppey I will most certainly stay at Nomads and so my boyfriends says as well. We got the chance to eat dinner and breakfast with these lovely people From nomadsz really such a nice weekend we had here. Lots of kisses for the owner!

“Awesome place to relax... Must visit !

Located at the backwaters... The place is actually an island and the travel journey is bit adventurous as u can reach by boat thr.....if you looking for a relaxing vacation to stay at the backwaters and enjoy your day it's an ideal place.Nice view of backwaters in the morning and evening time.... Over and above all the hospitality extended by Divya is awesome. I would recommended to stay at this place at least for a day as it's an amazing experience to stay in the mid of backwaters.

Hostel or home from home?

It was hard to find but once at nomads hostel i found i had walked into a slice of paradise that felt like a new home. The energy was sublime and nurturing to the senses. The hostess, Divya is like my indian sister and was instantly easy to be with. All in all my time here was awesome and it was hard to leave.
